Miffy for peace
‘I wanted to make the three-dimensional statue of Miffy flat again, like in Bruna’s drawings. But every time I looked at her and saw her ears, I thought of the peace sign. I used the black outline of a Miffy drawing to create a new image, the peace sign. Miffy as a symbol for peace is a strong image that can contribute to a better world: the youth has the future. That is how Miffy for peace came into being.’
